The Dismissal: Words That Made History
Artworking, Collage & Art Direction - Exhibition and digital assets
I was commissioned by the Museum of Australian Democracy in Canberra to create a suite of large-scale collage works for The Dismissal: Words That Made History, an exhibition exploring a defining moment in Australia’s political history. The aim was to interpret the event in a way that felt emotionally resonant, historically grounded, and politically neutral.
Using hand-cut collage, I recomposed archival imagery to focus on atmosphere, place, and public response, framing the Dismissal as a shared national moment rather than a single narrative. The works were developed for large-scale projection and digital use, with subtle animation created in collaboration with Jay Dury of Trip Production.
